Rams to the Superbowl!!!

Mom never actually said that, but It'd be pretty smart of her if she did.

and if you look here Seth Wickersham an actual paid-professional ESPN expert says the Rams will make the playoffs. (scroll down to the last set of predictions and look in the "NFC wild cards" row and it'll say "St.Louis")

And you may notice not a single one of the experts predict the Bears to make the playoffs.

Faith In The Lord Jesus Christ

Dad gave a great lesson on Faith today. It was a fifth Sunday, so all the YM/YW Priesthood and R.S. were together for his lesson. It was uplifting and interesting.

I KNEW This Would Happen

Quinn went out to get the mail for me. He batted some bees away from his head and came back in with a bite! He didn't cry. It gave me the creeps! He put ice on it.

When Was The Last Time We Saw The Driveway Like This??

After a summer of a way too full driveway, it was something to see it look like this. I had to take the picture. I was more than happy to have all the people that brought all the cars to this way too full driveway!

Do You Hear What I Hear?

The last few days, you should been listening to a nice rendition of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" when you visit this blog.

Quinn asked me a few times to put some music on the blog. So, I figured it out and put on the song that Zak and Quinn both thought would bring the most enjoyment. Do you remember, Steven, when Christopher played this song repeatedly when we did not use headphones?

No one has commented, so we left it be. I enjoyed it.

I got a call from Christopher this morning with tales of his annoyance with being accosted with music when he wanted to only LOOK at the blog.

ok, ok, I give.

I have now put the music on "push the play button IF you want to hear the music". It will not automatically start playing for you.

Christopher did say that if he checks the blog at 2:00am and Steven is already asleep, no one will want to hear the beginnings of "Breakfast at Tiffany's". So to keep the peace, you must click the button yourself.

You may also take note that there is music on Chase's blog! It is great missionary music.

I will happily put whatever song you want on the playlist. Let me know!

Driving School

Our big deal today was to go to Walmart to get a few school supplies.

With our car situation, and my leg/crutches situation, I could not get into my Yukon. I have discovered that driving the Yukon is more comfortable than the Corolla.

So, I needed Zak to drive the Yukon out of it's parking place. I sat in the passenger's seat, Zak took the driver's seat. It was nerve wracking and sweaty, but Zak did a great job, no scratches or bang ups. Apparently, Zak has never driven a car before, He did not know anything! Thank goodness I am such a good teacher.

At one point we were blocking the street of Doshier. A car honked. I opened my window and expressed that they just needed to wait for a moment!

We did get to walmart. Hopefully, everyone has what they will need for school.

Preparing for school!

I've been really busy preparing for school, putting everything away, getting groceries, etc. It is especially difficult getting things for 2 people when I am only 1 person to walk back and forward to my car. I've made a lot of trips.

One thing on top of my todo list was to buy a motorcycle. I got one, and I am very happy with my purchase:

A Little Therapy

I am sick of my leg hurting today. I told Zak, (my therapist) that I feel like out of 24 hours in a day, the time that I am awake my leg feels no pain for about 1 1/2 hours. I have a headache, I think from gritting my teeth. Why am I gritting my teeth? My therapist suggests that I am afraid of pain. Why, yes! I believe that is true. I do not like pain. I am also afraid of bees. I feel like there is a swarm of bees always hovering about 6 feet away from me, I am trying to ignore them, but my resistance is fading!

These are true bees being collected at my house!

I also feel like my tender, sore ankles could be supported by these rocks.

Christopher Leaves

Christopher just left, then returned for a drink, then left again. His aim is to stop once before he gets to Provo. He is obviously NOT driving with me.
Just to make up for the lack of "packing" pictures with Steven, here are a nice lot of Christopher.

His Room

Now it's in the kitchen

Checking his computer one last time, then he told us more things to know about computers, always the teacher.

You read the emotion on his face as he is about to leaving the loving arms of his family.
Oh, I crack myself up.

Thanks Sis. Hix!

The cookies and treats will be great for the trip.
Thanks!

Steven packed up yesterday and he left this morning to get himself to BYU. In my current state, I did not take any pictures, but I am sure his car looked shiny and new, just like this.

So, Quinn tries to light the candles again
Now, I've got the picture

I took this picture of Griffin while I was turning the camera around, complete accident, it turned out GREAT! I love his smile.
Then Griffin took this picture of Steven.
I love it.
Steven can't keep his eyes open for a picture.
We all think it funny.
Steven does not.
He has nice eye lids.

When I am ready to update and add pictures to the blog, those boys are playing DOTA. If I am uploading pictures, it slows down their games.

What Day is it Anyway!

I thought it was Monday, then I realized it was Tuesday. All the days are the same...

Zak has started up with Football again! Twice a day. He is sweaty and achy.

Griffin and Kylie are back at swimming lessons, although Kylie is doing diving lessons, which she really enjoys.

Quinn has his books ready for school. He had to register today. His choice of shirt for his school pictures is very questionable! Yes, this is the shirt he wore!

Christopher is studying A LOT for his GMAT...which he is taking tomorrow.

Steven is enjoying the picking up and dropping off. Not really.

Chase is doing great! He would love to get a letter from all of you who read this blog. His site is: chasemission.blogspot.com

I, hopefully, am knitting.....(think about it!)

This is the bottom of my foot. Zak, Quinn and Kylie have
all made comment on how gross the bottom of my foot is. I can do nothing about it. Quinn took the picture. If it looks like this at about 3 weeks, just think how it will look by 3 months!
Kerry is working!

Church Day

We ALL got to church today! Some hobbling, some crying, but we got there!

Sis Terrill spoke about marriage and so did Pres. Magnusson.

One of the things Pres. Magnusson said about having a good and happy marriage, family life, was DON'T sit on the couch yelling at your children!

I looked back at my children, some sitting behind me, with a laugh, Steven was pointing at me; as that is what I do of late to get some help. I thought it was funny. I know what Pres. Magnusson really meant! Nothing like a nice, light moment in church.

We had our usual hamburgers for dinner. Everyone looked at everyone else to see who would make the burgers. I knew it wouldn't be me!
Christopher stepped up to the plate with apparent fabulous results. Each child came into the room I was sitting in to show me how GREAT their burger was, and why couldn't I make them that good!
Now Christopher is going to have to stay home until mid September to be in charge of our burgers! Ha, ha.
One other funny Sunday story. Kerry came home from church after doing his duties. I can't remember what he said, it was something like "this is their last Sunday...." Griffin perked right up, "what, there are no more Sundays?" He said with hope in his voice. It was funny.

Just So You Know, I am NOT a Faker

Kerry is taking me to the doctor to get my real hard cast on. We will get to see what is under neath my current cast, and see x-rays!
It is a bit gross, so beware!

In the Car

Unwrapped! I am very bloody over each ankle! Who knew! All the cotton wrapping was bloody around my ankle and the bottom of my foot.

The tibia side

The fibula side

This is my x-ray today, bones trying to heal.

This is the broken leg x-ray.

The screws are holding my tibia in place

I will have another out patient surgery in about 4 weeks to take out the big screws. I will be totally out and unaware.
