Silence is Golden

Dad taught seminary today.

He did a quiz show; ask and answer.

One of his questions:
Who was the first person to be "bleeped" on the radio, it has LDS roots.

The answer is J. Golden Kimball, he was a general authority. He was known for swearing. A story about him: he was being interviewed and he was asked if he was worried about going to hell because he swore so much. He answered: "No, because I repent so damn fast!"

Dad told that story in seminary and it apparently silenced the class room!

NFL Draft

Dad said He will give 10$ to anyone who can predict the first 5 people chosen in the draft. I feel confident in who I think will be chosen by the first 4 people, but the 5th will be a tough choice. Oh, and to win the 10$ you have to make a post/comment on the blog with your guess or just tell dad before 12:00 noon Saturday. (hint for anyone who is trying for the 10$; everyone already knows who will be chosen 1st)

How I Feel Today

You know the shower scene in Psyco? Well, I feel like her after her shower.
I called the doctor today to ask for a better pain reliever for myself.
Everyone else seems to be just fine....well, Kylie is struggling with sinus, coughing, ears, throat. I called her doctor too to see what we could do.
Pathetic post today.

You're OUT of Here

Last day with my Gall Bladder....I spent it at church, then I hope to nap.

(Yes, I have used two different tenses, so what).

What's Saturday For?

Dad: open house (camino real), hard labor with logs, preparing a priesthood lesson.
Mom: drove Stake Youth Conference kids about (was a bit grumpy about it), grocery shop, kitchen clean up, laundry, watched Kylie softball game.
Quinn: what's it called....he had a molten core (?) gaming day today. While we did our thing, he did his and that was apparently playing on the computer. I did see he has started a school project. He did make mom and griffin happy by getting him lots of rootbeer.
Kylie: has a cyst or a polyp in her sinus! She had an x-ray yesterday and that is what it showed. She is not feeling well, (headaches, ear ache, all about ache) but she played a great game of softball anyway. She played catcher. She is great at that position.
Griffin: played lincoln logs with daddy, a bit of badmiton too, (I heard him talk about his birdy, and I see evidence by my bed), went to the game and grocery shopping with me. And this morning Griffin started his pre-Sunday speach about how he didn't want to go to church. I reassured him that we we would not go today.

OH - Zak: he is at stake youth conference....he did that stuff. We pick him up around 11:00pm.

Chase's mission call

So here are my pictures from Chase's mission call. I'm still not very good at putting pictures on this blasted thing, hopefully it will work right. I also have his video on YouTube. I think I did a good job. Lets see if this link works:

motorcycles

My roommate rented a Harley for his birthday. It's fun. I found out that it isn't just the name, they really are nice bikes. That is all.

How Do YOU Say Rhinoceros

Griffin says:
sir-nah-sir-oh
I think it is funny.
Put the emphasis on the 2nd syllable.

Survey!

I was just thinking about Chase, his mission, our family, vacations, and I wondered if you would like to go on a short family vacation BEFORE Chase leaves for his mission. That leaves a tiny window of opportunity between the end of Spring term and Chase's MTC arrival.

Would you like to do it?
Where/what would you like to do?

Some ideas: go to San Fransico see alcatraz, golden gate bridge, etc. Go camping somewhere....stay at the beach (although it could be cold...June is a cold month.) Hmm, go to catalina?? (What would we do there??)

Ok, now go and give your thoughts in the COMMENT SECTION!!

Back To School

It was back to school for us today.
Dad slept so well that Zak had to wake him up for his seminary ride.
I slept nicely too. When I went out to my car I found my battery was dead. No fear, there is always the truck to drive!
Zak - got himself up (as usual) for seminary. Played a volleyball game against LaSalle.....AHS won, AND Zak played.
Quinn had a nice day at school, is currently doing his homework.
Kylie had a nice day at school too. She played with Brianna after school. She is also working on making her own plate for a girl scout project.
Griffin seemed tired today.
We read the scriptures for FHE....the part about King Noah and Abinadi.
I am teaching pre-school tomorrow - we are studying the letter W.

BYU Soccer!

Here are a few pictures from Christopher and Steven's soccer game....oh and one video too.

Very "artsy" picture of Steven running.

I feel bugged about how the pictures appeared on the blog. I forgot to check the box to be specific about the size and placement, but I don't want to re-put them in.

Driving Back to CA

I just wanted to tell you BYU boys that I had a great time being up here, being near you, knowing that I was only 40 minutes away. It was great. It was fun to see you play soccer, to eat with you, to hug you lots.
I hope you do well on your finals. I know it will be a relief to be done!
I love you all so much - you are my delight!
Griffin told me he was ready to go home tonight - through crying and tears. He missed Coo Coo.
Everyone missed Daddy and home!
