Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head

It's been raining all day here, not complaining, we need it. Rain is only deadly to the Wicked Witch of the West.

Quinn has a VERY early play-off soccer game tomorrow. It will be cold and a bit wet, but I am sure they will play.

Zak has Volleyball AND Track try-outs next week. Volleyball at 6:45am - Track in the afternoon.

Kylie had her team party tonight. They went to see the movie Fred Claus.

I tried to serve "gone bad" potatoes tonight for dinner. No one would eat them.

That is all I can remember right now.

STEALER! really 49er

CHASE - -
You stole my guy!!

Frank Gore

Fantasy Football stuff

I changed it so everyone is now in the playoffs. Also we have an extra day in our regular season (14 weeks instead of 13). I looked at some things and I think I could make it so our playoffs are during the real football season playoffs. I think that would be funny, but Dad is really against it.

The Rams are the best ~!

Tuesday

This is what we got today.....a very messy house.
But, I did buy Chase a Christmas present....
I hope it goes over better than Christopher's birthday present.

Monday Nov 26th

Kylie, Quinn and Zak all went to the dentist today -
NO CAVITIES!!
They have lovely teeth. Kylie, apparently, is missing one adult tooth. She just wasn't born with it!
It is possible that Zak is getting sick! Stay tuned, we will let you know. He feels VERY cold, tired, can't eat. hmm, sounds bad to me.

Christopher put on socks

they all watched football
Kylie played with Sariah and Myia

I'd Rather

Apparently, I'd rather prepare for preschool than
CLEAN UP and prepare Christopher and Steven's room for their return.

I'd rather do pre-school, clean-up pre-school, blog, search for metallic crayons and a crayon sharpener on line, make lunch for Griffin, make myself lunch, eat lunch than clean up and prepare Christohper and Steven's room.

But I guess worse than doing all that washing and cleaning, which includes steam cleaning all their carpets - and Chase's carpet again - changing sheets, is making the grocery shopping list for Thanksgiving, and doing the grocery shopping because I STILL haven't done that!

In the end, the cleaning wasn't so bad, in fact I feel a huge sense of accomplishment. I like to go back there and just breath in deeply for all of the good smell of clean.

Fibula Update

Camera Phone picture of Steven's broken leg - before the soft cast.
Enjoy!Have you showered yet?

Saturday, November 17, 2007

Thanks Steven!

Life has all been "as usual" here, nothing new to report, so I haven't. Quinn keeps telling me that I am falling behind! Earlier today I thought that I could tell you all what we have been eating, (yummy food), but that is what I have been doing anyway...then STEVEN saved the day!

Apparently during a hard core flag/tackle football game Steven Broke his fibula! He seemed to be feeling ok when I spoke to him, I hope that is how this event goes. He has not cried like a baby like I did.

Christopher has been such a good nurse to his brothers....I am wondering if it is NOT too late for him to change his major!

$250 Dinner

Dinner was so good tonight - we figured that if we all went to a restaurant, it would have cost us $250 to eat.

Menu:

Salmon
Steamed Rice
Steamed Broccoli

Delicious Brownie for dessert

Virtual Stock Exchange Competition

Today I opened a Roth IRA account to invest in indexed mutual funds. So I got to thinking...as long as we're competing with Fantasy Football, we may as well compete in a virtual stock exchange, right?

http://vse.marketwatch.com/Game/StartViewGame.aspx?id=colefam

You may have to sign up for an account. The password to join the game is colefam. Everybody starts off with $100,000. The winner has the most money after...whenever we decide we're done. The starting day is the day before Thanksgiving, so do your investment research now!

End of the Road

I see that we are down to our last box of Corn Pops cereal that was bought to celebrate Christopher's return from his mission. I just wanted to make sure we had enough and that he felt really celebrated.
That's a mother's love.

My Personal Grand Canyon Trip

Since no one else ended up going, I decided to go by myself and do some solo climbing.

Which is Better, Looser or Loser?

Sorry, Christopher -

You are NOT a loser, but I think you lost today!!

Goal Accomplished!

One of my goals at the BEGINNING of summer was to get the garage clean. I have threatened in paper fortune tellers. I have planned on doing it many times...it never seemed to happen.

So, for Christopher's 24th birthday, I thought we would get the garage clean without him. So, Christopher, just mark this down as one of your presents, that you DID NOT have to help clean the garage. Zak said it was worse than cutting off one of his toes. I took 3 truck loads of stuff to the Goodwill.

Zak and Quinn are outside now, playing ping pong. Griffin and Kylie are waiting in the wings.

I know you are curious, so here is the clean garage.

Happy 24!

Happy 24th Birthday
Christopher
I hope you spend your day flying HIGH

I have spent the morning finding pictures, scanning them in so I could make a lovely post about Christopher for his birthday. I was able to scan the pictures, but I can't figure out how to find them in the computer to put them on the blog!!! VERY frustrating. Grrrr

Thurs - Soup & Football

Dad made taco soup for lunch today....oh, I forgot, it got too late for dad because his "show" was on, so I said I would make the soup. I did. It was yummy. Quinn had a 1/2 day today, he ate it too, he liked it too. I am still full and it is dinner time.
BYU FOOTBALL
Tonight
Dad is over watching it at the Luna's.

Later tonight, we will watch Survivor.

Kylie is having a sleep over at Lydia's.

Griffin napped from 3:00 - 6:00.

We make our own kind of fun here.

Christopher turns 24 tomorrow, don't forget!

End of the Road for Football.

Zak's last football game
...so of course, I have pictures. This game he played on the Kick-off team and the Kick-Return team. He is #23. Use your zoom. You will find him.

faraway perspective

just about to make a tackle

And now, for the video. It is a kick-off. I tried to take the video and watch the game at the same time. It is too difficult to do. The video is only 5 seconds, so just enjoy what you see. Zak is running, but his job is to stay back. So, he is in the video, then out for the next 2-3 seconds, then back in. Jared Colton is in the whole time. He is #88. Zak has a little of his light blue shirt sleeve hanging out of his jersey.

The person you hear saying, "oh, oh, oh" I think is Scott Colton.

Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is?

Did you all remember to change your clocks back?
Wasn't it great to have an extra hour?
We all loved it here in CA.
I do wonder if that had anything to do with Griffin's odd behaviour.
Today in church he was fine for about 40 minutes, then he had more energy and naughty ideas than he knew what to do with. Happily, Zak took him out for a long while. Then at home he got in more trouble. I hope he gets back to his regular self tomorrow.
Zak has a 1/2 day tomorrow, then soccer try-outs. Quinn has a 1/2 day on Thurs (end of quarter).
I was nervous for a while, but as it turns out, I beat Dad in our Fantasy Football game!! Yea for me!
Christopher has only 4 more days to be 23 years old.
Extra points to anyone who knows the song that I made reference to in this post.
