Stand Up For What You Believe!

Have you all heard the controversy about the Miss USA pageant? Miss California, Carrie Prejean, was asked about her feelings on same-sex marriage. This was her response:

"We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite. And you know what, I think in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised."

I am guessing that when she spoke, she new that she was going against what the Political Correct thing to say. She spoke from her heart and gave her true feelings.
Keith Lewis, who runs the Miss California competition, tells FOXNews.com that he was "saddened" by Prejean's statement.
What?? He totally missed the BIG issue here! She had the guts to go against peer pressure and the pressure to WIN, she stood her ground even though it was not the popular, cute, or best answer. She is the perfect example for having the strength of our convictions EVEN when it is hard. If more people were like her, the world would be a better place.

I agree. I think it's great she stood her ground and wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

Yep. She sounded really nervous when she said it. I'm so glad she made that statement. And I'm not really sure what Perez Hilton was doing there anyway.

Because she said that she did not win the Miss USA. So I applaud her all the more for voicing her real opinion. The world out there is just wandering in the mist. They have no roots or anything with which to hang on! More people should watch Fox news!! Wasn't it Miss N Carolina who won? And she looked just like Miss CA!! All those blonds look alike!!
