An Explanation of The Ironing Board

In an effort to encourage more volunteerism and getting “the list” done, I have come up with a POINTS plan. You get points for doing your list, for volunteering, for helping. When you accrue enough points, you may turn those points into items you want – clothes, candy, meals out with friends, stuff you need money for. You get extra points for cleaning & vacuuming your room first, for getting the most points in a day.

Steven and Zak lobbied VERY hard to get points for several athletic achievements! I did succumb to a few, the worst being someone got a point for the Bloons game! Ugh! There were also points for pull-ups and push ups. That was all the first day when I was weak to the opposition. Steven also suggested to his brothers that they use their points that they had earned to wager on some football games – if the bears won or if the Rams won, which Steven lost both of those wagers.

So, Steven asked me to iron his “business casual” shirt. I did, it turned out great, he loved it. I asked him to make sure he put the iron and the ironing board away. He did not, I’m sure he forgot, so I have publicly deducted 3 points!
I am VERY happy with my new point system, and as in FF, Kylie is doing the best by far (well, Kylie did fall a bit in FF this week, sorry).
(The picture at the top is supposed to be tally marks. I see now that it looks kind of like a fence.)

Uh Oh

Forget something, Steven?? You owe me 3 points!!

Leavin' On A Jet Plane

Steven's blue dot is gone.
He is about to leave us.
He has one more interview on Monday, then he really leaves.
He got an offer from his first set of interviews.
He gained about a pound.
We ate some good food.
He will probably lose at FF.
He helped Quinn a lot with Chase's Ipod.
He helped fix Chase's computer.
He encouraged us to make several wagers...did he win any?
It has been fun.

Because I See Everything!

Sitting by Steven, I looked over and saw a blue dot in his ear!
I was guessing it was a misplaced blue highlighter.
No, it was from his True Blue event (several posts ago). He thought he had got all his blue off.
Sorry, try again.

True Story

I went to Griffin's school today to fulfill my assignment to help in the computer lab. I just have to help the children with questions while they do a project on the computer, not hard, but nicely interactive with the class.

I got there only to see another mother already there. I tried to talk to her and find out why she was there on my day. I was VERY nice! Sadly, the mother didn't really speak ENGLISH! Another Asian mother had to translate for me.

She had a schedule that showed it was her turn. Fine. I left. I hope Griffin and the rest of his class can understand the Chinese language.

I Have Not Taken Enough Pictures Lately!

So, I pulled out the camera to document part of last night - - >
We had pancakes, yummy, and lots of bacon. (Really, this meal was planned for Monday night, but dad supplied dinner by bringing home extras from his lunch meeting at work, yippee!)
Quinn had to eat late because he was at soccer practice. Here he is happily eating! This was to be my picture of ALL the bacon that was LEFT OVER!
I guess I was wrong, it was gone about 30 minutes after that last picture.
Dad has been trying to fix the fridge ice and water - neither work. Pushing the fridge in, then out, depending on the starting for finishing, because of going to a meeting.
(Notice, in the background, Zak is jumping during the picture. He gets laughs from that.)
Finishing the pushing.
I always have interest in where Zak's salt line will be on his shirt on any given day. I don't really find it gross. I wonder how Chase would feel....it's his shirt.

Sadly, for Steven, I have NO clue what to have for dinner tonight!!
Suggestions??

Bloons Tower Defense 3

I'm somewhat embarrassed I would put this on the blog, but Christopher/Steven might want to know that they made a bloons tower defense 3. It's been beaten on easy/medium with no lives lost, and I beat it on hard, but lost lives.

Everybody Has Their Own Way

I cut Zak, Dad's and Quinn's hair today.

Zak had to wash his hair before I cut it, it was too dirty. He washed his hair nicely.

I cut his hair. He showered after the hair cut being VERY careful NOT to get his hair wet, as he had already washed it today.
