Cast Boot

This is how I can walk on my cast. It still hurts. I think it is a bit better than yesterday.

Pictures - Sleepy, Usual, TMI

Dad took a few pictures 2 nights ago - -
Kitty, sleeping it off Recouperating from getting a new cast, which is always painful.
But this is how you could fine me 60% of the day.
That red lunch box is my medicine box. I don't go far without it.

I think Quinn took this of the bottom of my foot. It is kind of gross.

Wrong Number

This old, southern sounding man has called this house about 6 times in the last 8 weeks. He asks for someone, a name that I cannot even repeat it sounds so odd. I ALWAYS think it is STEVEN. I respond by asking if it is Steven making some joke. He continues to ask for the other person. I finally realize it is not Steven playing a joke. I tell him he has the wrong number.

It just happened again. It is not a joke. It is a poor, old man that has our phone number confused with the object of his affection.

Doctor's Visit

I had my doctor's appointment today. The doctor said, once again, that it was quite a break that I did. The surgery was beautiful, what was so bad was that I broke most of my ligaments. Those still need time to heal. So, he is not ready to take the screws out yet. I can start to put weight on my leg. I got a new cast (pictures are below!). Dad is going to get me a cast boot that I wear over my cast to keep it cleaner. At the end of September, I will have another surgery to take the screws out. Then I will get the walking boot thing.

I have put a bit of weight on my leg. It hurts some and I am a chicken. I will slowly, but surely add more weight. Steven, how long did it take you until you were fully walking on your leg? Just curious.

My old cast is off. You can see where my skin has peel off. The nice technician washed my leg with alcohol. Here, I am trying to decide what color of cast to choose next.
The absorbing stitches.
Here is the technician.
Here he is wrapping cotton around my leg.
More cotton.
And he is telling me to bend my ankle some more, which hurt.

Casting....
I picked light blue.
Here he is squeezing my ankle and leg.
That wasn't pleasant.
My new, blue cast.

I'm Just Saying

Christopher's bench has more points than his starting line up.

The BIG winner was Dad with 131 points!!
Other winners:
Kylie - 71
Chase - 94
Steven - 80
The sad losers:
Mom - 73
Christopher - 57
Zak - 81
Quinn - 68

Where is Santa?

I came home from Target and Griffin and I saw 3 (one not pictured) deer going from our yard to Maxine's yard, then they walked over to Joe's yard. I took many pictures. It was an amazing sighting.

Intsy Wintsy Spider

As I am working at the computer, my attention totally on the screen, I avert my eyes to the left and I see THIS!
It just appeared, coming down on it's unseen web, inches from my face!
No one was home, I had to exterminate it myself. Don't worry, I'm ok.
Oh, it wasn't intsy wintsy. It was a BIG daddy long legs!

Football updates

NFL:whoops I accidentally i guessed the ending score to the Bears/Colts game a little off, i think i guessed 21-17 Bears winning, but the actual score was 29-13 Bears win.

Fantasy:Currently steven is beating me by 26 points, but i have two players up that are projected to get 27 points together, their game is tomorrow (Monday). Tom Brady, our draft's Number 1 pick gave me 3 points and is possibly out for the rest of the season... not good.

Break From Tradition

Like I told you, we were breaking from the tradition of Hamburgers and Hot Dogs today!
We went with spaghetti.
This is Zak's plate.
Did he finish? The answer is no.
After Zak took the picture of his food, Griffin HAD to take a picture of his food, so here it is:

He didn't finish either.

In other news, sports was crazy today! All the teams there supposed to do well, did not, and all the stinkers were great. Even Kylie is watching the Bears/Colts game with baited breath! I will also report to Chase that his fantasy team beat Zak's! We are not talking about my team.

Typical Dinner

We had Fried Rice for dinner.
I thought it very funny at the end to see Quinn's plate.
Very typical with the Bears and Rams mugs with chocolate milk.
Doesn't that say Cole's dinner?
